사도 요한은 성도들에게 "너희는 하나님의 자녀다"라고 선포합니다. 우리의 신분은 우리의 노력으로 얻은 것이 아니라, 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음을 통해 하나님의 사랑으로 받은 선물입니다. 그래서 우리는 하나님께 인정받기 위해 애쓰는 사람이 아니라, 이미 하나님의 자녀가 되었기 때문에 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 삶을 살아가는 사람입니다.

하나님의 자녀는 먼저 하나님 아버지를 닮아갑니다. 부모의 자녀가 부모를 닮아가듯이, 하나님의 자녀도 하나님의 성품을 닮아 갑니다. 이것은 억지로 하는 삶이 아니라, 하나님의 사랑에 감사하는 마음에서 나오는 열매입니다.

또한 하나님의 자녀는 예수님 다시 오실 날을 소망하며 살아갑니다. 우리는 아직 연약하고 넘어질 때도 있지만, 이것이 우리의 마지막 모습은 아닙니다. 주님이 다시 오시는 날 우리는 예수님을 온전히 닮은 모습으로 변화될 것입니다. 이 소망이 오늘 우리의 삶을 깨끗하게 하고, 믿음으로 살아가게 합니다.

마지막으로 하나님의 자녀는 주님 앞에 담대히 설 수 있습니다. 우리의 담대함은 완벽한 삶에서 나오는 것이 아니라, 예수님 안에 있다는 사실에서 나옵니다. 부족하고 실수할 때도 있지만, 우리는 언제나 하나님 아버지께 나아갈 수 있는 자녀입니다.

"너는 나의 사랑하는 자녀다."

그 사랑을 기억하며 하나님을 닮아가고, 주님의 다시 오심을 소망하며, 날마다 예수님 안에 거하는 복된 삶을 살아가는 주님의교회 성도님들이 되시길 축복합니다.

The Apostle John declares to believers, "You are children of God." Our identity is not something we earn through our own efforts. It is a gift of God's love, given to us through faith in Jesus Christ. Therefore, we do not live to earn God's acceptance. Instead, because we are already His children, we live to please Him.

First, God's children become more like their Heavenly Father. Just as children often grow to resemble their parents, God's children grow to reflect His character. This is not a life of forced obedience, but the natural fruit of a heart that is thankful for God's amazing love.

God's children also live with the hope of Christ's return. Although we are still weak and sometimes fall into sin, this is not the end of our story. When Jesus comes again, we will be completely transformed to be like Him. This hope encourages us to live pure and faithful lives today.

Finally, God's children can stand before the Lord with confidence. Our confidence does not come from living perfect lives, but from being in Christ. Even though we are imperfect and make mistakes, we can always come to our Heavenly Father because we are His beloved children.

"You are My beloved child."

May we always remember God's great love, grow to become more like our Heavenly Father, live with the hope of Christ's return, and remain in Jesus every day. May all the members of Jacksonville Christ's Church be blessed as we live as God's beloved children.
