형제 사랑은 보이지 않는 하나님을 보이게 하고, 그분을 체험하게 하는 통로입니다. 하나님 사랑과 형제 사랑은 결코 분리될 수 없는 하나입니다.

사랑은 하나님이 나를 먼저 사랑하셨다는 사실을 깨닫는 데서 시작됩니다. 그리스도 안에 있는 하나님의 사랑에서 우리를 끊을 수 있는 것은 아무것도 없습니다. 이 사랑이 삶의 중심이 될 때, 비로소 형제를 사랑할 힘이 생깁니다.

사랑 안에 거하는 자에게는 특별한 특권이 있습니다. 사랑이 곧 삶의 집이 된 사람은 자신의 기분이나 환경에 관계없이 사랑하며, 그 안에 하나님이 함께 거하시는 참된 안식과 평안을 누립니다.

온전한 사랑은 두려움을 내쫓고 담대함을 줍니다. 기도하는 자와 사랑을 베푸는 자만이 이 담대함을 누리며, 보이는 형제를 사랑하지 않으면서 보이지 않는 하나님을 사랑한다고 말하는 것은 거짓입니다.

Loving our brothers and sisters is what makes the invisible God visible, and lets us experience Him. Loving God and loving our brothers and sisters can never be separated — they are one.

Love begins with realizing that God loved us first. Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ. When that love becomes the center of our lives, we finally have the strength to love our brothers and sisters.

Those who live in love enjoy a special privilege. When love becomes the very home of our lives, we love regardless of mood or circumstance, and find true rest and peace as God lives within us.

Perfect love drives out fear and gives us confidence. Only those who pray and give in love enjoy this confidence, and claiming to love the invisible God while failing to love the brother or sister we can see is a lie.
