우리는 자주 "나는 정말 하나님을 알고 있는가?"라는 질문을 잊고 살아갑니다. 하나님을 안다는 것은 성경 지식을 많이 쌓거나 교회를 오래 다닌 것을 의미하지 않습니다. 하나님을 아는 사람은 하나님의 말씀을 사랑하고 순종하는 사람입니다.

요한일서 2장에서 사도 요한은 하나님을 아는 사람의 또 다른 특징을 알려 줍니다. 그것은 바로 "사랑을 실천하는 삶"입니다. 사랑은 새로운 지식을 배우는 것이 아니라, 이미 알고 있는 말씀을 삶으로 살아내는 것입니다.

예수님은 "내가 너희를 사랑한 것 같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라"고 말씀하셨습니다. 이제 우리의 사랑의 기준은 내가 아니라 예수님입니다. 조건에 따라 사랑하는 것이 아니라, 예수님처럼 먼저 사랑하고 용서하며 섬기는 삶을 살아야 합니다.

사도 요한은 "빛 가운데 있다고 하면서 형제를 미워하는 사람은 아직 어둠 가운데 있다"고 말합니다. 하나님을 아는 사람은 사랑으로 말하고, 사랑으로 행동하며, 다른 사람을 세워 주는 삶을 살아갑니다. 세상은 우리가 성경을 얼마나 많이 아는지보다, 우리가 서로 얼마나 사랑하는지를 통해 예수님을 보게 됩니다.

"나는 정말 하나님을 알고 있는가?"라는 질문으로 자신의 삶을 돌아보시기 바랍니다. 그 답은 우리의 말과 행동, 그리고 사람을 대하는 모습 속에서 나타납니다. 하나님을 아는 것이 신앙의 시작이라면, 말씀에 순종하며 사랑을 실천하는 것이 신앙의 열매입니다.

우리의 삶을 통해 예수님의 사랑이 드러나는 성도가 되기를 소망합니다.

We often forget to ask ourselves, "Do I really know God?" Knowing God does not mean having a lot of Bible knowledge or going to church for many years. A person who knows God is someone who loves God's Word and obeys it.

In 1 John 2, the apostle John tells us another mark of those who know God. They practice love. Love is not something new to learn. It is living out the truth that we already know.

Jesus said, "Love one another as I have loved you." Now Jesus is our standard for love. We do not love people only when it is easy or when they treat us well. We are called to forgive, serve, and love others just as Jesus loved us.

John also says that anyone who says they are in the light but hates a brother or sister is still living in darkness. Those who know God speak with love, act with love, and build up the people around them. The world is not first watching how much Bible knowledge we have. It is watching how we love one another.

Take time to ask yourself, "Do I really know God?" The answer can be seen in our words, our actions, and the way we treat other people. Knowing God is the beginning of our faith. Obeying His Word and practicing His love are the fruit of our faith. May our lives show the love of Jesus every day.
